About Hope Aramish Peace

Our Mission

Hope Aramish Peace, a 501 c 3 organization was formed in response to the unprecedented tide of new immigrants fleeing their home countries and seeking a safe place to live in the United States. All the non-profit legal organizations are overwhelmed by the volume of people seeking help. But for the immigrant who has fled persecution and given up everything they knew, embarked on a dangerous and treacherous journey to get to the U.S., risk being deported if they don’t have an attorney or guidance on how to present their credible fear. Most of these immigrants have endured indescribable trauma.

We understand how trauma and re-traumatization affect memory, linear thinking, and the ability to present perfected testimony.

Hope Aramish Peace integrates trauma-informed skills into our work so that we can authentically and empathetically connect with our clients. This approach has resulted in more productive outcomes for our clients’ cases.

Currently, the focus of our services is at the immigrant camp in Tukwila where over 600 immigrants seeking legal help with their asylum applications are registered.  Over 80% of the population living at the tent camp is black. Most of the immigrants are from Venezuela and Angola and need a translator.  We need Portuguese, French, Lingala, and French volunteer translators. We Offer Hope

Through our many partners and volunteers, we offer a wide range of services ranging from legal to social services like counseling, navigating the state social services programs, and more. In the end, our goal is to provide the support and resources necessary for our clients to remain healthy, even as they work through the tremendous trauma away from their traditional support structures.
